Professional vacuum kiln drying for local woodworkers, sawyers, and builders. Our iDry kiln provides fast, consistent drying for slabs, dimensional lumber, and reclaimed hardwoods — ensuring stability, color, and quality every time.
Our iDry Standard Vacuum Kiln offers fast, consistent, and professional drying results year-round. Unlike solar kilns that rely on weather and take months to dry lumber, the iDry system uses controlled heat, vacuum pressure, and airflow to remove moisture evenly and quickly — without stressing the wood.
The vacuum lowers the boiling point of water, allowing lumber to dry at lower temperatures while preserving color, figure, and strength. The result is stable, furniture-grade material ready to use in a fraction of the time.
Whether you’re drying green slabs, dimensional stock, or reclaimed hardwood, our kiln provides predictable results every time — no waiting for the sun, no seasonal downtime.
Kiln Specifications:
Every species and slab thickness dries differently. Our iDry Standard vacuum kiln dries lumber up to 10x faster than traditional methods. Times vary with wood thickness and moisture content.

Bring your slabs or lumber to our shop in Chico. We’ll help you unload and take a quick look at the material to make sure it’s properly milled, stickered, and ready for the kiln. If needed, we can assist with stacking or prepping to ensure even airflow during drying.
Once loaded, your wood goes through the full iDry vacuum process. We monitor temperature, vacuum pressure, and moisture levels throughout the cycle to ensure a smooth, even dry. Depending on species and thickness, most loads are complete within 1–4 weeks.
When drying is finished, we verify the final moisture content to make sure your wood is ready for fabrication or finishing. You’ll receive a call or message when your load is complete and ready for pick up or local delivery.
